Can't Stick To Wall

My flounder/hogchoker used to be able to stick himself to the wall, but now he can't. He seems distressed about it. What could be wrong? I haven't checked the water chemistry yet. The other inhabitants - 3 dwarf puffers who never bother him probably because he blends in so well with things - are perfectly fine. He's breathing heavily, but I think that's because he's wasting so much energy trying to stick to something... he sticks, then slides, then flails around...

Mine did that once and I never found out what caused it. Maybe try cleaning your inside walls off, not sure if that will help but it's worth a shot.
