Anybody here heard of resun and jebao canister filters? I can't afford eheim, so looking for alternatives.

Don't know anything about those two brands. Have you tried checking eBay for Eheim filters? That's where I got mine.

Perhaps someone else knows about those two brands.

If I didn't get Eheim (which I have, a 2217) then I'd definately go with a Rena Filstar.

regarding the apple snails however try mo post doon ng message pero the more common nerita snails lang nakikita ko lagi dito actually naiintriga nga ako dati sa apple snail kasi astig yon laking snail sa aquarium

di talaga kaya mag send, something like that ung nerita snails, local lang ung snail saka mas bilog, tanong tanong ka sa egroups for it yup ako nga nag trtry mag smuggle in ng shrimps e pero hirap hahahaha hindi ko magawa kaya nakakainis hehehehe

Haha, thanks, Kenneth. If I'm not mistaken, Etoy was able to bring in some shrimps before--amano and cherry red yata. I just have ghost shrimps. Though mine are tank-bred, my maid was also able to get ghost shrimps locally in the wild (she gave them to my sister).

Everyone else, thanks for the advice regarding the canisters. I think we don't have some of the other brands here in the Philippines, aside from maybe Eheim and Fluval, other stuff probably come from Asian manufacturers...
