Just a quick one.
I have a canister filter (a cheap asian version Kandige Brand) and it has 4 media baskets and came with a white sponge like filter pad in the top basket, next is ceramic noodles, next is loose carbon pieces and in the last basket was some gravel like stuff.
My question is, I don't particularly want to keep the carbon in there, or the gravel. What kind of things should I have in my 4 filter media baskets and in what particular order (if it matters?). I have added some more dacron fibre to the top basket as the peice it came with was very thing and barely filled the basket. Should I get some bioballs or more ceramic noodles etc?
