Canadian Duck Weed!

The man up the road from me is always droping in buckets full of canadian duck weed i put it in my tanks but my question is can i put it into my tropical tanks 80F.

I guess pond plants don't do too well in tropical tanks.

in my goldfish tank that stuff grows like crazy at 80f. it has new spourts on it coming out all over and gets a foot long ever 2 weeks.

Egeria densa, sometimes known as Elodea, does fine in high temperatures up to 80F. Elodea Canadensis, which looks very similar, prefers temperatures below 68F. Its hard to tell the difference and they are often sold under the wrong name.

Oddly, here in Canada we call Lemna minor duckweed.
