I can go into my lfs and not buy anything at all. If I'm in the area, I'll pop in to see if there is anything new, or a plant I've been looking for, but if there isn't anything, I leave. I'm really good at making sure I don't buy anything unless I have researched it, know it goes with the rest of my tank. I have made very few impulse buys for my tank.

I admit i've bought fish in the past that i didn't plan to get at the time, but i've never bought a fish that i didn't know anything about. I realy don't understand people who buy fish they know nothing about...

I've no room in my tank for more fish so I don't buy any. I do, however, gaze lovingly in the tanks at the ones "I would get if I had room". That is until my son starts tugging on my arm asking if we can go yet.

I am bad for buying other stuff though. I always check out the new plants. I seem to have a thing for buying new food bowls for the cats, and don't get me started on catnip toys...

I often go and look round Wharf if I am within 5 miles of the place. I spend an hour or two just looking at every fish in every tank usually 2 or 3 times a month.

I rarely buy new fish at the moment, I am planning my new tank so I don't want to add to stock right now, but soon I will

I quite often go to a fish store without buying anything because most of the stores around here have such a poor selection there is nothing i'd want to buy anyway.
