As above, any suggestions? The reason thinking of quarantining is I have seen absolutely massive moss balls but would feel better quaranitng to ensure no diseases that have been sitting in them are transferred to my precious fish. I have spare tank but how would I go about it? Would I just let it sit in water, would I need to heat, would I need to go as far as treating with some treatments I have around? Any suggestions very welcome!

The usual way to deal with plants is to dip them in a very diluted bleach solution, and then rinsing thoroughly to ensure you remove all traces of bleac prior to putting them in the tank.
