hI ,would my 110l tank be overstocked with the following,
6 bronze corries,6 albino corries,6 glowlight tetra,2 pitbull pleco,3 armano shrimp and 3 dwarf gourami?

I don't believe it would be. Bioload of corys and glowlights are quite low.

Why ,would it be overstocked then ,as pets at home say that you should have 2 males and a female?

WHAT??? That would be a definate no no IMO. The males will fight for a start. If you were set on 3 then have 2 females to 1 male.

I don't think it would be overstocked with 3 DG's at all, but there maybe tension between the 2 DG's that are the same sex.

Have you considered Honey Gourami's? They're beautiful!

Concerned i might be overstocked as it is that`s why i decided on dwarf,as thought i`d be pushing it at adding these. But i`ll definately take your advice on having 2 females to 1 male, and i`ll look into the honey goueramis.

thanks ,i didn`t know that, thought dwarf were the smallest, would that be my limit then do you think as i don`t want to have an overstocked aquarium? Thanks for your help.

Is this still going to be a 3ft tank? I would say you will be ok with what you have providing you have adequate filtration. You may even find that it will look a bit empty as most of what you have listed will be 75-80% of the time at ground level. Maybe consider having 8 of one species of Corydoras and a bigger shoal of the glowlights?

Danio's would be good for the top layer. Very active and playful fish.

Not overstocked, but my only concern is the footprint.

You have a lot of 'bottom' dwelling species, which, although not territorial, appreciated at least a bit of space, while your 'mid/upper water' is very low density.

Also, what temperature are you thinking of using? the Pitbulls like much cooler water than 'tropicals' (like glowlights).

You might want to possibly consider peppered cories and pitbulls, as these both are more -temporate- (the peppered being low end tropicals).
