Hi all, I'm currently cycling my 260l and am trying to shortlist some gourami's.

My tank will include:

2x Angel
1x RTBS
5x (but maybe up to 8 Zebra Danio)
1x Bristle nose plec
the possibility of my current 2 male guppies and 3 neon tetras (until the angels grow large enough to scoff them).
I also have 4 moll fry which if I cant rehome they will be moving in too.

I like the idea of a single Pearl gourami with maybe 3 dwarf gourami too but what other combo's could I have?

Could I mix blue, turquose and red gourami? Could I get one of each considering there eventual size instead of a Pearl and 3 dwarfs?

Any other combo's welcome but what would really help is pictures of the ones you recommend.

Sorry to be a pain, LFS getting turquoise in next week and am gutted that I'm not ready

Any idea's please?

Or even a good website where I can look into which type I like and can be mixed?

Hi, I have a 360ltr tank and I have 4 pearl and 4 gold gouramies which are quite happy together. For some unknown reason, one of the pearls has gone very dark in colour.

you have to have two pearl gouramis together though the idea of three dwarf gouramis is good hope it helped bye

First of all don't putthe mollies in, as they have a disliking for gouramis.

You can mix most different species as long as you respect the territory rule: 1 gourami per 30 litres. For the smaller honey gouramis you can have 1 on 15 litres. Personally I wouldn't make a mix with three spot gouramis. Although they are the hardiest type, they are also very agressive. An option might be though to have this species in different colours.

I personally like pearls, dwarfs and honeys. Sparkling gouramis are also very nice, but not very good in a mix as they are a bit more timid.

You can mix all gouramis together I did it in my old freshwater tank I had 2 red dwarf gouramis 2 blue dwarf gouramis one pearl gourami (male) and one gold gourami :good:
