Can you keep goldfish without a filter? If you don't use one does the water need changing daily?

Yes you can keep goldfish without a filter, but because these guys are so messy, you'll need to do daily 100% water changes unless you can plant the tank well. However goldfish tend to eat plants, so this isn't a feasible option. A cycled filter is really the best option for these guys. A big tank and a big filter.

On a fish pond, definitely yes. i've never seen a non-messy goldfish so.....
