im trying to see if they are the same species and would breed together? i just cant seem to get an id?
 
They're bristlenose plecs. They can breed.

One of mine looks like that. They're scientific name is ancritus dom thing that you said.

Good luck on breeding them.
 
uhuh bns are the best plecos in terms of ease of breeding put a pair together and youl be rollin in fry
 
both domestic ancistrus, ancistrus sp3 or cf cirrhosus - common BN's.

the one in the pictures looks like it carries the longfin gene, although not as freakishly long as some out there these days.

the link you provided stated that fish is A. dolichopterus which it quite clearly is not, that fish is also known as L183, they have a common BN as the picture.
 
sorry i ment to say 'did you get my surreder declaration? it is on the pleco/advise on my pleco thread... sorry mys posts are special like my fish
