Is it plausible to leave the lights open for a dedicated planted aquarium with CO 2 running 24/7?

THanks

Plants need The dark,
Photosynthesis last up to 14 hours
14 hours being the maximum amount of light they should receive
roughly 12 being optimal to avoid to much algae etc...

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm speaking rubbish :)

what if i do not care about algae; all i want is fast growing plants? coult i leave the lights on 24/7

Plant boffins may correct me here, but i think the plants would just die. As said they need the dark. Also, algae would soon overgrow the whole tank and you wouldn't even see the plants.

No you can't leave the lights on 24/7. Plants need time to recover from photosynthesis. The dark is almost as important if not more important than the light.

The plants would soon burn themselves out if had the lights on 24/7.

They make food at day and eat food at night. you always notice a growth differences when u wake up from bed and look in your tank, not from light on to light off

Want fast growing plants get duckweed 100% fast
