Can You Grow Plants?

OK i have this weird plant that starts with an a, forget what its called (really helpful i know) but it sort of resembles elodea, and i was wondering if i could somehow like grow branches of it? I heard of like cutting parts off and doing something but i have no idea.

Some plants you can do this for. They are refered to as 'stem plants', and basically, they take most nutrients in through their leaves, and send roots out from the stem to get more nutrients. With these plants you can cut off a portion and re plant it.

If you can find out the plant name for it (or post a picture) we can tell you for sure wether or not you can you can do it with that plant.

I think you're thinking of Anacharis, which is just another name for elodea.
