went out and bought two bigger kribs today, but they have totally different markings to the small two i have? do they loose their stripes as they grow or are they different kinds?

also in the first pic which is female? the one with the red belly or the red facial markings?
first pic is two new kribs, 2nd pic is i think male? third is two new ones again, fourth is one of my other two, these have stripes???

In short the answer to you original question is Yes, There is a small number of Kribensis type species

Pelvicachromis Pulcher being your commonly seen species

2 lesser seen species are
Pelvicachromis subocellatus - yellow ?
Pelvicachromis taeniatus - red ?

will different kribensis types breed with each other ie a pulcher with a taeniatus? i think the two young ones are pulcher but both seem to be male, can only get taeniatus females round here....
