I kow what those are they used to sell them at my lfs, but I cant remeber the name of the fish! Darnet.

The first fish is a Labidochromis exasperatus and the little fish looks like a small Pseudotropheus lombardoi although small mbuna can be hard to id.

for the first one i found the scientific name also Melanochromis joanjohnsonae.is there any common name?i put orange lipped cichlid.i found it somewhere

Its either one of 2 which are almost identical you will have to wait until they get a bit bigger for definite id.

Its Melanochromis joanjohnsonae which i believe is also called the Melanochromis exasperatus which is identical to the Labidochromis textilis its all very confusing try this link.

As they are a melanochromis they are on the higher side of the aggression scale but now were near as bad as the rest of the melanochromis family.

I had a male Melanochromis joanjohnsonae when i first started and he was stunning in full colour the blue is almost like a hap,he was boss of the tank he never actually harmed any other fish but they all knew not to mess.
