Hi im fishless cycling a 18g tank but i have put too much ammonia in by accident (durrrr!) now my plants dont look very healthy I have amazon swords and valis I,m gonna do a water change tomorrow to get rid most of the ammonia. another qustion is should i be cycling with plants or dont it make a differance many thanks

I have cycled a planted tank without any problems but others say that it's a problem. I would definitely lower the ammonia to the 4 to 6 range. What type lights do you have on the tank? It could be that the plants aren't getting enough light.

i have a fluval duo 600 i think the lights add up to either 15 w or 30 w
