well i bought another piece of african root wood and a bunch more tall plants to tie to them and now my tank doesnt look too clean and i see a bunch of very small white stuff floating all over my tank. ive cleaned my tank almost everyday and vaccumed my sand changed bout 10% of my water still pretty much the same. i thought it was my filter after that since i only use two sponges and then bio-balls. i never really clean my sponges just give um a good shake in my tank water when siphoning. however yesterday i decided to give my sponge a squeeze and my bucket turned black. i freaked out and figured this is why my tank looks like this now ,and completely cleaned my sponges and replaced two altogether. but its still the same it seems to settle and soon as i move anything especially the plants the tank fills up with this debris. so i dont know if it because of some sort of blockage in current from the plants. i can see the stuff settle onto the plant leaves but my filters are clean and i can see it go into the lift tubes. the wood and plants are arranged so not to block the filter tubes but my tank is kinda cut in half because of the wood angles, as far as filtration. one filter for one side and one for the other. so is too many tall plants bad and do they need to be placed absolutely up against the back glass. i use sand so i dont plant my plants into substrate instead tying it to my wood.
