Can this happen?

About a month ago I bought a Rose tip Anemone that within 12 hours decided to be sucked into the protein skimmer... Now about 2 weeks ago I spotted a tiny anemone which now is just smaller than a dime can this be a piece of the one that went into the skimmer?

Yes, i think it could be. Gotta love an organism that can get chopped to itty bitty bits by an impeller and survive in one form or another.
