Can Swordtails mate with Mollys ? I have a beautiful female orange molly (no partner male because I never found a male orange molly in my LFS) . A male swordtail is chasing it and trying to mate with it. This swirdtail has a female partner but it is heavily pregnant so I think it is trying to mate with this one. Getting old, but nowhere near knackered, i just lo
firstly no swords and molly cant produce fry together but he will continue to hassle her to mate, you need to get another female molly and a male so you have 2 females to 1 male and the same with the swords.
when you say you cant find an orange male for her, dont bother looking just get any male that is almost the same as her b/c mollies in LFS are so interbred that they wont produce all orange fry, you'll find that there are alot of black in the genes.
