Bought these online as “True Siamese Algae Eaters” I believe they are definitely not that. Can anyone confirm. I don’t want to put unknown species in my tank.

can you put them in a tank or container with some gravel and plants so they can colour up?

they might be chinese algae eaters that grow to a foot long and are agro when mature, but they don't have the markings.

I can see if I can find something bigger, but I mainly just wanted to know if in fact they weren't Siamese Algae Eaters
