 oh so it is a common plec, so, this guy will gorw huge!

his colors are good too good for a common but oh well.....
EDIT: his top fins raise when he is swiming, like a sail fin...he is so beutiful!
He looks exactely like my common and my common has very nice tall fins too and bright gold colouring like yours. Just b/c they're called common doesn't mean they're ugly, plain and look like all the rest. I hate the word common but there you have it. Yours is still a common non the less but as MrMashashin said one of the best plecs. :D

Mine loves Wardleys Brine shrimp pellets, lagea tabs and spirula cichlid pellets. My pleco will also eat any flakes that i feed the fish IF they ever reach the bottom.
well i think he eats SOME flakes but you know how your fish goes crazy when they smell food? well the plec don't give a.... maybe it has been eating all my danio frys

the plec doesn't eat my hikari sinking warfers...

i wil feed some nutrafin shrimp pellet tonight.. :)

Just remeber that plecs are nocturnal.
Mine eat algae wafers, sinking shrimp pellets, blood worms. Try also blanched veggies. I always feed my fish just before I turn off my lights.

That first pic looks almost like a chocolate plec, but the rest look like a common. Cute fish:) As earthgirl noted, plecs do most of their eating/activity at night. I've found that mine will eat pretty much anything, but algae wafers are like crack to them. Mine seem very mild mannered until I drop one of those in there. Then they go nutts! For a small plec like that half an algae wafer before bed should be plenty. He'll get the rest of his diet from keeping the tank clean

EDIT: you can see my chocolate in the background of my sig on the right hand side :fun:

from my reserch plec go crazy for algae warfers even when the ligths are on :/

my can't/don't even smell it, maybe he has some smelling problems? he eats food that are infront of him..
