Can Shrimp Be Stunned?

Hi.

I recently got 2 shrimp, i don't know what type they are as the label just said "temperate shrimp". I've got to admit, i made the mistake of popping up out of nowhere to look at the srhimp, but one seemed to go crazy, could'nt walk and started wriggling around. I left him a few minutes and know he's back to normal. So my question is, can you shock shrimp.

shock them by just looking in the tank? I highly doubt it.

He may have been asleep and woke up suddenly and got a shock. I get the same effect if I suddenly turn the light on at night in the living room where my tank is, sometimes the fish go crazy bashing into things and acting loopy for a minute then return to normal as though nothing has happened!!
