I was just wondering if the duration of a guppy's pregnancy can differ depending on the number of batches of fry she's had in the past. Reason I ask is my females both gave birth two weeks ago on Saturday, and while they (and the two new additions) are all pregnant again, one of the mothers in particular seems to be as big now as she was when she gave birth. Is it possible she's this close already? I brought her home fully mature and well pregnant so I don't know how many batches of fry she'd had before the babies she gave me. I've read that their pregnancies typically last from 21 to 40 days, but it's not quite 14 days and she looks like she's about to pop again. Is this possible?
