Hi guys,

Can some one please tell me if Protozin & Melafix can be used at the same time, and if so can they do any harm to my Bio filter? I have been told by my lfs to use these 2 products as one of my fish (a female Molly) seems to have cotton mouth.

The lfs says they won't harm my filter but I think it's best to ask the experts (you guys) first just in case!!

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Definately do not trust anyone at a local fish store until they have proven themselves.

I have read the instructions on both products and they say they won't harm the Bio Filter, but I want to 100% sure!!

I NEVER take the word of my lfs, I always check and double check what they have told me but thanks for the warning.

Hi there. They can both be mixed, as one is chemical baced, and the other is plant material baced. They will not harm your filter bactiria, when used at the recomended dose.
