Can O Crickets (small Size)

Is it safe to give a small part of a Can O Cricket to a betta as a treat? Im talking about the midsection, not hard parts like the legs or head. I would imagine in the wild insects drown in the water and are a small part of there diet.

I wouldnt do it. I would think that the crickets were gut loaded with God knows what, but i'd wait till other reply before you decide.

The gutload is probably safe because mostly what they use is vitamins and minerals - will probably do the fish good. But if they are gutloaded you want to read the ingredients very carefully. If you can't find every ingredient on the back of at least one fish food bottle, don't use it. If they are gutloaded and you can't find the ingredients of the gutload used, don't risk it.

The back doesnt mention ingredients, it only says "farm raised crickets" on the back.
