Can My Male Betta Still Breed?

i think my betta is to old for breeding , i purchased a female a few weeks ago to try and get some baby bettas, the male keeps on building a bubble nest and the female keeps on breaking it, the male is full size and i fear he may be too old i heard males stop breeding at 14 months. so can he still breed?

What have you done to prepare them for breeding?

put them in their own tank with lots of hiding places, and tried that clear tupawear thing but it didnt work

they need to be separated, you can't just put 2 bettas together and them breed.

both need to be fed high quality foods to get them ready for breeding.

you need to do LOADS! of research before thinking about breeding as you could end up with 100s of fry, males that all need seperating
