i have two tanks, with various fish in. i have a german blue ram in one and one in another, they are about 8ft away from each other but i swear the german blue rams can see each other when the lights are on!! one goes to the front and faces the direction of the other tank

also, my bed is 8ft away from the SIDE of the tank and i see the german blue ram looking at me when im watching tv (i leave his light on when im watching tv, its nice to look over to them :P)

Most likely, depending on the glare from the aquarium. They can definitely see movement and shapes from 8ft away.

cool lol, i have 4 tanks.. i bet the fish are looking at the other tanks and thinking "wish i could go and visit them..."

 Yea, I bet.

At one time I had 2 tanks across the room from each other. One had a S. rhombeus in it and the other a S. sanchezi in it. They would often flare at each other if the other was looking right at them. Then they'd circle real fast and flare again. It was comical at times. It would only happen if one was looking at the other and then noticed the other facing him.

lol not so much.. i think the only problems i would have if they were all thrown into the same tank would be my female siamese fighters, and guppies&endlers .. although the SFF are quite tame, they never fall out :)

now i know hes watching me i keep waving at him  help me

Stalker fish!

If you get strange phone calls and all you hear is running water on the other end you know who it is.

lmao.. that would be scary :)
im moving the other blue ram over tomorrow (possibly) .. hope they dont decide to look at me then! they have red and black eyes.. the scariest colours :P (darth maul had them :( )

edit: wait, i think darth maul had yellow eyes! my bad

i had a Tilapia buttikoferi what was evil 14 inch in a 6 foot tank and it would allways have a go at my 12 inch plec
but every time i looked at him he would stop and turn and look back at me, soon as i turned away it would go at the plec again, look back at the fish and it stopped again, like a naughty child lol so so clever, i had to get rid but beautiful fish though
