Can Mollies And Swordtails Breed!?

A while ago my brother saw his mums swordtail give birth, but the strange thing is, now that there the size of a small neon they are mollies! We always take the fry when old enough to a local fish shop and they said they are mollies and dont think that they will interbreed. So is it possable?

Platys and swordtails can breed, but i don't think mollies can breed with swordtails.

Nope, it's not possible for Swordtails and Mollies to interbreed. Mollies and Guppies can breed because they are both part of the Poecilia family. Platies and Swordtails can breed, because they are both part of the Xiphophorus family. But Mollies and Swordies can't (Well, it is possible, I suppose...but very very unlikely) breed because they are different families.
