Can I Take The Filter Out For Meds?

I have a double aired undergravel filter with a powerful pump.. I also have a hydor crystal ro5 duo II water filter. If I have to medicate the tank for white spot, velvet and stuff can I take the in water filter out so I dont kil off the good bacteria?

You only remove the filter if using antibiotics which will kill the filter. Normally you just remove carbon from the filter as this will remove most meds - certainly for whitespot & the like.
