My bubble counter broke over 2 weeks ago, I ordered a new one and it should be here in about a week. Coming with it are lots of plants. My tank has had no CO2 for two weeks, it is a 20gal with 2.75wpg. The plants are starting to show it. So can I run my pressurized CO2 w/o the bubble counter until the new one gets here. It would only be running during the day and my needle valve works.

thanks,

Should do, zall they are there for is to count and regulate how much co2 you are putting in, if you leave it in the position before the counter broke, it should stay the same.

Sorry to but in but could you please tell me what the co2 and bubble counters are used for?? I have been wondering this for a long time xx

Bubble Counters are there so that you can tell how much CO2 you are putting into your tank. You're going to have some type of reactor in the tank itself to dissolve the CO2 into the water so you won't be able to tell how much CO2 you're actually putting into your tank. With a bubble counter you can tell by bubbles per minute or second, depending on how much CO2 you're trying to put in.

Otherwise your first sign of to much CO2 may be some dead or dying fish.

I run my cow without a bubble counter, just use the pH drop checker as a guide.
