Can I Mix Beta With This Fish?

i've got 2 small discus fish and was interested in getting a siamese fighting fish is this a bad idea?

i'd say so.Discus are cichlids and cichlids and siamese fighting fish don't get on.Though discus is one of the more peaceful cichlids but grow to a decent size.Im not sure but personaly i wouldnt go for it.

wouldn't risk it, bettas are drawn to colourful fish, which most discus are, you could always get a 2+ gal for a betta, if you really want one

No, didn't go in, just impacted on the surface. That seems like a no-go if you ask me. I would never consider putting a betta in with any cichlid. BTW cichlids just get WAY too big for me to even handle. I like smaller stuff that's less likely to tear up any lil' buddies you buy for them. I'm getting some serpaes for my NON betta tank. The betta's got his own pad. probably gonna get more rosy reds, too.

Once the discus get big it will be a problem. Just dont do it, bettas enjoy being alone.
