Hi ,I`ve had an interpet pf3 on my 110l tank for nearly a year but the flow of the outlet isn`t as strong as when i bought it , also it`s not keeping the water crystal clear ,although i clean my filter,so I was wondering whether i could put my new one in and just change the filter sponges over ,would this be ok,or would it cause problems ,thanks in advance?

Get an external filter! :hyper: You'll NEVER look back to internals, I promise! It could just be that you need to replace the impeller which is fairly cheap.

You can quite simply transfer the media over - make sure it stays wet though and don't rinse it in tap water or anything (tank water or dechlorinated water if nescescary). If there's still room for more media in the new filter, just fill it up with more. Not all of your media will be colonised, but there should be enough to handle the fish.

I believe the Interpet PF range of filters come with closed filter baskets, you either change it all or not at all. The filter media isn't loose.

Hi ,have just been on Amazon ,as they didn`t have them on ebay, and the interpet pf3 impellar is £11.29,but you can buy the whole lot for £25.00,madness,does anyone know a cheaper supplier, thanks
