Hi all,

I recently acquired a River Reef 94L tank from a friend at work, complete with fish. Have seen a rock backdrop background that I would like to buy for it but have seen some conflicting reviews online as to whether it can be put into a full tank or whether the tank needs to be dry first. If it needs to be dry i'll probably have to forget it as I can't really take all the fish out and put them through all that stress just to glue in a new background! Any advice would be much appreciated

Cheers

its always possible to put a 3d background in without emptying the tank, you dont have to silicone it if you can find an alternative way of fixing it. Bulldog clips on the top for example. A little bit of DIY thinking and you might manage it, the substrate will keep the base in place.

Gold Label Underwater Pond & Aquarium Sealer , this stuff sets underwater made for pond repairs

Thanks for the ideas, think I'll try the pond glue! Also the gravel is a bit on the deep side so should hold the base in place nicely. Should look good!
