due to the territorial nature of cichlids, you need approx 10g per ram, so you could fit a single ram (either blue or bolivian) in a 10g tank

The Blue ones are very pretty compared to the Boulivian ones and the males are very very pretty (Blue German Rams)

I have kept a pair of Blue Rams in 10 gallons. You have to be sure you get a male and female though, and hope the male is not to aggressive because 10 gallons does not give a female much place to hide.

It all depends on the personality of the fish you get, and personal experience. I tried it and it worked well for me, you can try it as well and see what happens. Give the tank lots of plants, keep up on water changes because they get sick easily in bad water, and I think you have a good chance.

im geting a 35gal soon so they will go in there. There will be lots of bogwwod, rocks and it will be planted and an amazon biotope so it will be perfect for them along with 2 shoals of tetras (rummy nosed and cardinal) and some cories.
