hi i fancy a male betta but i dont know if it will go with whats already in the tank i have
a selection of corys
2 plattys
2 gouramis
some neon tetras and 3 german blue rams would it go okay with these or not?
thanks matt

Gouramis and Betta will fight. Both territorial. So no would be the answer I'd say. Sorry :(

Get a 20L tank and have a Betta with some shrimp :good:

oh fair enough i guess that gives me a reason to buy another tank then lol. i know somebody selling a 28l tank would that be good for a betta? and also am i right in thinking i could have a couple of female bettas in my current tank or not?
thanks

A 28L would be good for a male betta and some endlers, but you'd have to cycle it first! :good:

No, some males are good with females, but the vast majority will attack them/be attacked by them. Best just to keep them separate :good:

thanks for that :) sorry for all the questions but if i got rid of the tetras and the gouramis would the rams be an issue or not?

Females still can't go with Gourami, trust me i tried, Rams are a hit and miss sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The Tetras will be fine with females :good:

Hi ,i had a male and female gourami ,in with my betta ,they were fine ,had to move my betta to a 28l though as it didn`t like my strong filter current and wasn`t feeding properly, also the betta was kept in the 28l with 5 neon tetra which were fine together. The only tetra i`ve come across that`s aggressive [although i`ve only kept 3 types ]i s the green fire tetra .
