I would get some keyholes, a harem of apistogramma, and some neons, but that is just my idea. If there id no other stocking, that is.

im not sure of the boesemani, i want to put some amano shrimp in the tank but i know the BM's eat them. i not so sure the other cichlids will?

i see its the male keyholes which have the long dorsal and anal fins. so my final choice for the tank will be.

1m 2f of cockatoo
1m 2f of agassizzi
2f keyholes
9 m.praecox 3m 6f?

so does that sound ok ?

Make sure that there are a lot of hiding places for these fish. I hope that they will treat you well. It should look real nice.

Cichlids + Shrimp or Snails are a bad idea in my past experiences.

Unsure about Keyholes and Apistos but my mates kribensis ate a apple snail twce his size...was one hell of a mess

The shrimp (amanos are big enough) will be fine with apistos and keyholes. Didnt know boese ate them though, so yeah stick with the praecox.

Otherwise yeah all looks good to me.

You could add to the neons as well, sure they would feel happier in a larger shoal

and fyi my rotkeil ocasionally trims my plants but i have large bushy growths of plants that would grow out of control otherwise.
i put flake in for my Snakeskin gourami because he has a small mouth and the severum goes crazy for it even though he gets his own food. theyre very greedy
