If you check my profile and see my stock for my 29-gallon, can you tell me if I can get a kissing gourami? I'm expecting a no. I really like them, but am pretty sure it wouldn't work out.

Do they eat smaller fish?
Are they aggresive?
How big do they get?

Thanks! :)

Kissing Gourami's can get quite large and need swimming space ( your tank should be big enough for one or two small Gourami's )...

They are not aggresive ( they do fight for their territories with other Kissing Gourami's however)...

They do not eat smaller fish ( they will obviously try and eat small fry like any other fish )...

Absolutely 'no'.

For one, you're going to be needing your 29 to move the angelfish into (10 gallons is far too small) and probably those synodontis catfish too. I'd reccomend you read up on some of the fish you already have and do some re-aranging to accomodate them (like moving the guppies into the 10 instead of the angels/catfish).
Also note that chinese/golden algae eaters have a very deceptive name - they are not chinese and stop eating algae as they mature. They become increasingly carnivorous and aggressive and are infamous for their tendency to suck on other fish' slime coats and even eyes. They are particularly likely to attack laterally compressed fish - such as angels or gouramies - and shouldn't be in a peaceful community. Find yours a new home ASAP.

Kissing gouramies can grow to at least 10" but often more. Even a 30 gallon is pushing it for a single one. Your tank is quite full as it is - kisser won't work. They are territorial fish, as well, and can be aggressive towards any tankmates they perceive as 'intruders'. While they aren't carnivorous (indeed they often dessimate planted tanks because they rather like their 'salad'), they will eat anything they can catch and fit into their mouth as will most any other fish. It so happens that, because of their potential size, this isn't necessarily limmited to livebearer fry :p
