i got a 4.4 UK gallon and i was wondering if i can divide it so each side has 2.2 Gallon so i can keep 2 bettas

I wouldn't personally, but others keep bettas in that volume of water ok. Just try and keep substrate and decor to a minimum so it just not take up volume.

Edit, just realised it's 4.4 UK which is a bit better (5.2US).

Compared to what they do stay in, 2.2 gallons is more than enough. I'm splitting a 10 gallon into 2.5 gallon sections for Bettas and frogs and several people keep their fish in bowls or vases half that size.

Just because it's not as bad as what someone else does, that does not make it right.

They are celebes Halfbeak
