I have been thinking about getting seahorses and i need somthing so the seahorses dont grab the heat and get burnt can i put somthing like a piice of pipe on it with lil holes in it but it would be biger than the heater dose any1 have anyother ideas

I would try to fab up some kind of mesh net to go around it, maybe made out of window screening or something else like that.

But, personally, I'd try to go with a canister filter with an external heater eliminate that risk with the up-side of reducing some clutter in the tank.

I'd personally try and go one of thes routes. The piece of pipe may not be able to have a sufficient amount of water flow around it and could possibly crack the unit and wreak all sorts of havoc.
