can i combine?

right now i have underground filters in my 10 gallon and in my 40 gallon. i want to upgrade to the aqua clear..prolly next week for my 40 gallon tank..i was wondering if it would be good or better to combine both filters...

not that i dont wanna give up my underground filter but i figured..hey..more filtering..biologically, chemically, and mechanically...the better!

anyhow...any advice from you expert fish peeps?!!!

There's no harm in using both, but if it was me, I'd run the new filter for a month to get is established, then remove the undergravel filter.

thats a good idea. i think i will do that..

but is it imperative that i do? or will it be a disadvantage if i dont?

why wouldnt u use both after a while?
