Hi i have rehomed a couple of my predatory fish

will i be able to breed kribs in my 240L now

also i have a ship, skull & spongebob pineapple house u can look at the setup in the pic in my signature

Not with the acaras and eels.

To be honest I think you need to concentrate on

1) sort out your current tank/stock to a proper, manageable level
2) keeping suitable and compatible fish together successfully
3) learning

then start thinking about breeding. You are trying to run a marathon before you've learnt to crawl at the moment.

Kribs breed every 6 weeks or so and mine used to have 100 or so fry a time with about 75% survival rate, in your current tank the fry would be eaten as soon as they were free swimming and the parents would not only be incredibly stress but would also attack your other fish mercilessly.

I've edited above. I bred my pair of kribs in a 60l tank with just a male bristlie for company. I'd only recommend breeding them if you have an LFS that will take them for store credit or if there is demand in your area - you also need a grow out tank as most places want them at least 1" before they will take them - I had a 100l grow out tank.

will i get a female acara and hope for the best
I actually read up on breeding these fish a while back and it is quiet easy will they be a better shot at breeding or will i skip the idea?!

as above - sort out your stock properly BEFORE breeding anything or getting any more fish.

ok, i cant find the zig zag eel at the moment when i do ill take himt to the lfs and swap him!

will the peacock eel be ok in my 240L (keep in mind i will do almost anything to keep him coz its one of my fav fish!!)

The peacock will be ok for short term. The acaras will not.

Im going to have to agree with with indigoj in this case. Kribs fry, even though they are rather large as far as cichlid fry are concerned, will be eaten by anything fast swimming. They kribs can fight off the slower fish, but with that many fish in your tank, after the first week of them hatching, you'd be lucky to have over 15 percent of the fry left. The fish can't protect they fry 24/7 with that many fish in there. Especially when the lights go out.

Besides that, your tank has horrible stocking. Before you try breeding anything, you need to situate your tanks. If you have a 700 L avalible, then move the acaras. The tank they are in is not near big enough. And when you say " I will move them when they get to big". What is "too big" for you? When they hit 4 inches? When they start killing/bullying eachother?

I wouldn't breed anything until you get your tanks sorted out, if I were you.

Yeh I have to agree with indigoj and kribensis12 in this case that you would really need to sort out your stocking before thinking about breeding :/
