Can I breed cherry shrimp and guppies in a ten gallon tank with Java moss balls in it?
Thanks!

I don't see why not but your guppies will quickly over population your 10 ten gallon, I would use Marimo moss balls instead of java moss balls, I assume your talking about the floating moss balls petco sells right? I would get like 4-6 male guppies or endlers and then try breeding cherry shrimp.

I've had a 3ft Guppy and Cherry shrimp breeding colony up and running for over two years.
Yes, they make great tank mates and definitely can be kept together.

Endlers dont eat their fry. Endler will hunt down cherry shrimp fry, but if you have sufficient hiding places, the cherries population will soon expand quicker than the endlers can eat em

I have a 5 gallon breeding tank and I'm going to put some Marimo moss balls on the bottom for the shrimp and I'm going to put the guppy in a floating breeding trap and the fry can escape through the bottom.

This sounds pretty I humane for the guppies, if you have maybe 10 or 20 gallon the a 5 gallon breeding trap would be ok but not what your doing.

Gotta agree with sawickib, 5 gal is just not big enough for what you are wanting to do....sorry

I meant putting the pregnent female guppy in the breeding trap and put the breeding trap in the 5 gal. There are holes on the bottom of the trap so the fry can escape into the tank.
