Hey, I have a 20 Gallon and it has 2 Guppies, 1 Honey Gourami and 3 soon-to-be 7 Lemon Tetras. The tank is fully cycled and I was wondering if I could add 3 or 4 Cories or if that would be overstocked. Any help would be appreciated! :D

it might be a good idea to post the adult size of your fish in inches, you may get more of a response that way. I don't know how big honey gourami's, or lemon tetra's get so I can't help you without doing some research first. Just a thought.

Oh yeah, I knew I forgot something! :p I don't know inches as I'm in Canada, but here they are in centimetres! Guppies - 5cm. Honey Gourami - 6cm. Lemon Tetras - 5cm. Oh and BTW I got the information from www.aquahobby.com!

Yes, 3 or 4 cories will be fine :) You have no other bottom dwellers and the tetras and cories (don't know about the guppies) are low waste producers. Cories sound like a good addition :)

You will be just fine. Get 4 of them. My opinion is the bronze cory, albino cory are the two types I have. The peppered cory is a very weak strain in my opinion or at least here they are. I have never had one live for very long. My longest living cories were 4 bronze when I first bought my 25 gal tank and they lived for 7 years in that tank. Hardy little critters they are and fun to watch.

Another one I quite like is the Panda cory but I have heard some say they are not very hardy at all. Do some checking on the interent and see what you have available to you where you live.

One to steer clear from is the so called "cherry" cory. These are albino cories that have been injected with red dye in certain parts of their body to make them look like a red and white cory and yes they are red and this is utterly cruel and should not be done.

Good luck....bugsy :)

You should get the green cories! I just recently got them, and when the light shines on them a certain way they shimmer green! It doesn't look fake or unatuaral, it actually looks pretty cool!
Oh, and BTW, they are not dyed. They are in the same family as the bronze/albino cories, so I'm assuming they are very hardy.

Honey's are maybe 2.5" if that.

Hey, sorry for bringing this topic back, but I was looking at Rams and I like the Bolivian Rams and I was wondering if I could get one or two of those instead of the Cories.

I dunno about the rams as it's a pretty different thing to cories. They produce more waste, are bigger and take up a different area.

I reckon you'd be ok but be careful.
