Can Fish Die Of Fin Rot?

I came home this morning to find one of my female platys dead. The only reason i can think it died is because it had fin rot. (It also gave birth on thursday)

Yes fish can die of the bacterial infections that cause finrot. Sorry for your loss

Yes finrot can soon kill a fish.
