Hopefully, when my batteries charge I can add a pic of .... it. I got a pair at a local fish store. One is male Bright blue with a few orange tiger-like stripes. Tall spikey looking dorsal fin. The other that was in the same tank was the only one not bightly colored. It was silver and a pale silver at that. I was sure it was a female, just odd that it was the only one in a tank of about 20 gourami. Since the past 2 months it has turned a golden color. Darker gold around it fins and fading to light gold the further from there. Is it just in better health? Its dorsal is small and nothing like the males. I'm hoping its a female, but i have never heard of a golden one.

Thanks,
Walker

Female dwarfs vary in color. Some are silver, some are more brown (or gold I suppose) and some have streaks of color. However, you may also have a Colisa chuna/sota so it may be a good diea to post a picture for positive identification. BTW, keeping them as a pair is probably not the best idea. The male will start chasing the female around (assuming it's a female after all) and stress her out. It helps to have at least two females per male to devide this attention and keep them from becoming overly stressed.
