Can Ecocomplete Replace Fishless Cycling?

I am hearing that eco-complete releases ammonia at first. Is this correct? If so, can this either start or replace fishless cycling?

im pretty sure eco complete doesnt release ammonia at first, it says on the pack that you just drain off the excess water in the bag if your adding it to an already established aquarium, if not then just put it in the tank water and all, to fishless cycle you can use ALL kinds of stuff, pure ammonia is best but you can use fish food or even your own pee!
