As far as i know they are tropical/sub tropical critters, never put one in coldwater though so i dunno if they'd survive or not. Are you looking for large ornemental snail species for a coldwater tank or somthing?

No, they can't go in cold water, their optimum temp is 76F and their range is 70F - 86F
