Can anyone tell the sex of this betta?

Saw pretty pink betta in a fish shop nearby and i can't really figure out.

I'd say it's a male plakat of the butterfly variety. beautiful fish!! are you considering purchasing it?

the fins kinda look like female. i actually bought another pink betta and this was the other one in the shop. no space for 2.

Plakat varieties are more related to the wild varieties and have shorter fins. just do a quick google search of plakat bettas and you'll see.
