Can Anyone Identify These Plants?:

The second plant is the anubias; the first one is an Amazon sword :)

Oh ok, thanks!!! I am never going to listen to pets at home's plant labelling again! Don't amazon sword's grow really massive? My tank is only 60 litres soo... Regular trimming? And the anubias isn't really that nice at the moment.

Amazon swords can get big, yes, but you can trim the outside, older leaves to keep it in check (for a while, anyway!).

Plants often die back a bit when they're disturbed, so don't give up on the anubias yet :)

I have started amazon sword, they haven't grown that quickly for me so far.  I really like them.. planning to just trim mine if they get too big.

Do you use any fertilizer?  I have some anubias congensis and they go funny without fertilizer (while my nanas are awesome all the time).  I found mine prefer slightly less light and then they flower.

Errmmm... I have a problem with my amazon sword, the top of some of the leaves are going brown!!! I have noticed it's only the leaves that are near the filter. So should I move it away, or is it natural? You know, like shock from the change or whatever? I dose with pets at home ferts. I can't find anything better in my area

The brown would not be a good sign.  I am now using Seachem Flourish which I've bought through Aqua Essentials.... it initially sounds expensive but you need such a small amount compared to what I used previously.

Seachem flourish huh?? Ok, I meant to say the brown bits are closer to the heater, not the filter. But the whole thing has got little brown specks on it.

Unless it is actually burning, I would think it is what people tend to call "melting" which is usually down to not enough nutrients for the plant.  And like above, some plants do have set backs before getting going again too.

Ok, so ill try and move some of the décor around tomorrow when I do my 3rd water change for this week.
