Can Anyone Help...

Hi,

I'm not sure this is in the right place so apologies if it isn't!

I was wondering if anybody can help us to identify the species of this fish:

Apologies for the poor quality photos.

We inherited this fish from my boyfriends work as they no longer wanted him. Nobody knows what sort of fish he is.

Today we bought two new leopard cat fish and he has been acting quite aggressively towards them so they may have to be seperated.

If anybody can help, it would be much appreciated. We have been googling all day and thought he could have been either a kissing or golden gourami but have know decided he doesn't really fit the bill!

Ahh, we did see that as i mentioned to my boyfriend that he had a distinctive mouth like a parrot fish.

They're not of the more agressive cichlid species, but they should certainly be kept in an aquarium with fish of near-equal size and temperament.

Its a blood parrot cichild.

Maybe dyed as well? That sure is a bright pink, and the weird mask effect it has around the face lends me to think maybe this fish was dyed or dipped at one point?

thats what i thought, if it's not dyed it's colour should be similar to the one in my avatar.
