Can anyone help me?

I have a male crowntail betta in a 3 gal by himself. The tank has a light and a heater but no filter or pump. Can anyone tell me any fish that I could buy to keep him company that would not need a filter or a pump?
I was thinking about an African Dwarf frog. Is this is BIG no no?! ----> <----or would it be ok?

P.S - I have already posted this in the Tropical Chit Chat forum and the Bettas forum few hours ago, but have not had any responses.
Any ideas will be welcome!

Well i aint a Betta fish keeper, however i may have a suggestion...

I know that Betta are territorial fish, so you would not want a fish of anything other water creature that will impose on it...

Have you thought about algae eaters, like Siamese flying fox or even the false one, or a pleco, peaceful fish that would keep him company, keep your tank clean and plus, wont impose on his space him being the cover of mid to high water and them being bottom feeders...

Thats just one suggestion, you dont have to take notice of me though

I think that 3 gallon is too small to put anything with the betta....I would keep him by himself if I were you....If you have a bigger tank atleast 5 gallon then you could get away with a couple of bottom feeders and even small tetras.....

Really? So if I buy him his own new tank then, I'll look for perhaps a 5 or 6gal, then I could move him to it and add maybe 3 cardinal tetras and 2 otos? Would that be ok or tooo overstocked?

I wouldn't recommend you add cardinals to a tank that small, they can be quite sensitive. On the other hand, you can try African Dwarf Frogs, who will do just fine with the betta in the 3g
